Parents, We will need parents to drive/attend as well. Adults single day tickets are $15. See below and you must register prior to the event as well.
We can coordinate carpooling once we get closer to the date. Ideally departing at 9am to arrive in DC for the 10am opening.
STEM college bound scouts…There are a lot of university STEM departments at the festival and its a great opportunity to meet and interact with them as well.

You Spoke, We Listened. Changes Ahead for 2020
USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo
Dear USA Science & Engineering Festival Supporters,
This coming April marks the 10th anniversary of the USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo, the nation’s largest celebration of STEM! We are excited to continue our mission to stimulate and sustain the interest of our nation’s youth in STEM by producing and presenting the most compelling, exciting, and educational Festival in the world.
We have read all of your comments and survey responses and have taken attendee, exhibitor, and sponsor feedback into careful consideration. As a result, we have made significant changes to attendance at the upcoming 2020 Expo.
All attendees will be required to have a ticket to enter the Expo on Saturday, April 25, 2020, and Sunday, April 26, 2020.
Ticket Information:
- Kids 18 and under are FREE but will be required to obtain a free ticket online and present the ticket at the Expo to allow entry. A ticketed adult must accompany children under the age of 13.
- Current college and university students, with a valid student ID, are FREE but will be required to obtain a free ticket online and present a valid student ID to enter the Expo.
- Single-day tickets for adults ages 19+ are $15 online and $20 on-site (while supplies last). See below for details on our Early Bird Special and Financial Assistance.
- Two-day passes for adults ages 19+ are $25 online.
Why These Changes?
By monitoring and limiting Festival Expo attendance, the attendee experience will be more fulfilling. Students will have the opportunity to spend more quality time at each booth exploring hands-on activities and interacting with our dedicated sponsors and exhibitors. Admission fees for adults will not come close to meeting our expenses as we gratefully rely on our sponsors to make the Festival possible. By modulating attendance, we look forward to creating an optimal experience for everyone.
Early Bird Special:
From now until Sunday, February 9, our newsletter subscribers are eligible for an early bird special. This special includes a discounted rate of $10 for single-day adult tickets or $20 for a two-day pass. The ticket price will increase to $15 and $25 at 11:45 pm EST on Sunday, February 9, 2020.
We anticipate both Expo days to sell out, so please do not delay. Click here to access the ticket site and use the code EarlyBird to receive $5.00 off the ticket price valid until Sunday, February 9, 2020. Note: Tickets are non-refundable.
