NCAC Northern Tier Training Session #3

April 25, 2020 @ 8:30 am - 1:30 pm EDT

NCAC is having a training session for Norther Tier leaders (offered on 3 different dates).  Although you are all not leaders, feel free to attend.  The more knowledge we have about the trek, the more prepared we will be.  Please RSVP to indicate which session you will attend.  Please note that attendance is optional, and that Mr. Chua will be attending the session on 3/7, and I will be attending the one on 4/25.

YiS,

Ms. Khalili

================================================

Hol-Ry, Northern Tier Trekkers!

To introduce myself, I’m Craig Reichow, National Capital Area Council’s (NCAC) Northern Tier (NT) program liaison for NCAC’s High Adventure Committee.  My claim to fame is that I was a wilderness guide (now called Interpreter) at NT for six years and returned twice as an Advisor with my NCAC troop.  Now it is my turn to help your crew prepare for your trek to Northern Tier.  We have roughly 350+ trekkers from NCAC this summer, so please attend one of our three training sessions.  These sessions are pretty much the same, differing mostly by the questions YOU ask.  We will also have recent NT staff members and NCAC adult advisors to ensure currency of information.

WHAT:  Northern Tier Training for NCAC NT Crew Leaders.  Baltimore Area Council NT trek leaders are also invited this year.

WHO: Crew Chiefs and Adult Advisors from every 2020 crew.  We could have a few leaders from 2021 treks.

WHERE:  Truro Anglican Church, 10520 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22030.

WHEN:  Please attend any one session:

Session #1:  Saturday, March 7th

Session #2:  Saturday, March 28st

Session #3:  Saturday, April 25th

WHY:  To help NCAC trek leaders know what to expect, and answer all of yourquestions.  We want your trek to succeed!

NOTES:

·  COST:  FREE

·  RSVP:  Not needed.  Come to the one session best for you.

·  Bring your own refreshments, as we do not provide them.  We will take short breaks, but not for lunch.  Coffee is permitted.

See you there!

Yi-HA!

May the forest be with you!
