Biking Campers, 

About the Bike Hike, we're going to be starting at the Trailside Middle School, Saturday, 8:00am, and return around Sunday 11am. A text or email will be sent with the return ETA Sunday morning.  We're going to bike 15 miles on the W&OD Trail to Lake Fairfax campsite. Will take around 2-3 hours to get there. If anyone needs to take a break along the way, the entire group will take a break. Once you get there you can mountain bike or you can just chill out from the long and quick ride.  You can also work on your mountain bike merit badge on this campout. Can also count this toward your Camping MB 9b – an important Eagle required MB.

With Covid still an issue, all need to bring their own tent and own food. You will need food for Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast. We will bring the troop trailer to carry the tents and food, but bring your bag lunch and water with you on the bike in case we decide to stop on the trail to eat on the way. 

You will want to ensure that both you and your bike are ready for the bike hike. You may want an extra tube and tools to change the tube and a pump for air.

Bike helmets are a must wear while riding so be sure to have or won’t be able to attend.
