Troop 58 will be hosting an emergency simulation during our regular Tuesday Troop meeting.The simulation will be lead by a Troop 58 parent who is also an EMT with Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad.The purpose of the emergency project required for the Emergency Preparedness merit badge is to give Scouts practical, hands-on experience in responding to emergencies by participating in a real emergency service project.  This requirement is designed to help Scouts apply what they’ve learned about emergency preparedness in a simulated setting, reinforcing their ability to act effectively and safely during actual emergencies.This simulation is designed to fulfill the requirement 9d of Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge.You may participate in the simulation and earn credit for requirement 9d even you have not started the merit badge at the time of the event.
