You’ve probably heard about the comet on the news. Well here’s another good reason (and good opportunity) to see it.

Come join me, our Troop 58 and local cubscout pack 1158 for the best chances to see the comet Neowise (a once in a lifetime event). I’ll bring some Astronomy knowledge and maybe even break out a game of “are-you-smarter-than-a-cubscout?”. If you have any background in Astronomy or have any astronomical humor, please be prepared to, er, shine (shine like, a celestial object of your choice)😊

Please RSVP by texting me your name and a message like "Will attend the One Loudoun Comet Viewing" to my mobile phone.  That way I'll be able to give you event updates, if there are any to provide.  -Graham Edwards (703-728-7406)

There are two venues and two dates!

· First venue – The weather report looks most promising on Saturday @Bear’s_Den.

· Second venue – The weather report looks pretty good (all things considered) on Sunday @One_Loudoun

It’s going to be pretty late for some kiddos. I suggest they get a healthy nap!  I know I will.

SECOND VENUE – ONE LOUDON – This Sunday

One Loudoun (On the Northern side of the Campus "Freetown Blvd, Ashburn, VA 20147")

While One Loudoun doesn’t have the natural beauty of the first venue, it does have convenience! It’s right here in town (5-7 minute drive). Also the kids can get around a bit more. Even so, they’ll need to keep 6 foot distance from non-family members.

We were given special permission to use the campus for this event (per Lindsey Pfisterer – General Manager)  A few points about the agreement: In accordance with that agreement with RPAI:  We will pick up any litter we find (whether it's ours or not).  We will keep socially distant.  We will acknowledge that RPAI (owner of One Loudoun) is not responsible for any incident (e.g. sickness or damage to our persons or property).  Adult supervision will be present to ensure youth do not.  I'll have an activity consent to capture your agreement if you choose to participate.  The attendees will be limited 40 persons.
