Snyder\, Haymarket VA “May the Frost Be With You” See the Freeze-o-Ree Opening Crawl!Once again it is nearing the time of the year for the District Freeze-o-Ree. This year the event will be held the weekend of January 31 to February 2 at Camp William B. Snyder. The cost per attendee is $37 ($22 fee + $15 Troop 58 food budget per scout) The forces of the Galactic Empire have landed at Camp Snyder! The few defenders are outnumbered and outgunned! We invite your Scouts to join us as we battle for freedom and fun with a new and exciting array of events and competitions\, created by Goose Creek Scouts for Goose Creek Scouts. After a Saturday full of fun and battle\, there will be a campfire where awards will be given out to the patrols who got the most points during the day\, as well as to winners of special competitions. Campfire skits that use the Star Wars theme earn bonus recognition. Each Freeze-o-Ree event is based on the patrol’s ability to work together as a team\, general scout skills\, and scout spirit. Patrols are responsible for having their scorecard with them at all times. Scoutmasters and Senior Patrol Leaders should come to a quick meeting on Friday night at the Freeze-o-Ree headquarters to get more information about their schedules for the following day. NWe look forward to seeing you at this year’s Freeze-o-Ree.
