DESCRIPTION:————————— \nASTRONOMY LOCATION UPDATE!!! \nDue to a recent road closure… we will park at 4am at the "First Baptist Church of Sterling" located here: 21449 Potomac View Rd\, Sterling\, VA 20164 \nBy 4:15am we will walk East along Potomac View Rd (about 200 feet) to get to the viewing area.  See attached image for details. \nASTRONOMY LOCATION UPDATE!!! \n————————— \nONCE IN A GENERATION OPPORTUNITYEvery 20 to 40 years the planets appear to line up in the sky in order from the sun. That's happening this month. If you want to see this once in a generation viewing\, then come on out with the Cubmaster from Pack 1158. Bring binoculars and Telescopes if you have them.  I realize this event may limited appeal to scouts\, so I'll just say that parents are welcome with (or without) a scout in tow;)\n \nADVENTUREMeeting more than an hour before sunrise (and 15 minutes from your house) is pretty early for most folks. And\, that's okay. Cub Scouts need to learn that adventure isn't always convenient.\n \nTIMINGPlease arrive between 4 and 4:15 to get set up and have a chance to view the alignment before we break at ~5:15.\n \nLOCATIONThe location is at the top of the hill on "Potomac View Rd" at the intersection of "Big Rock Drive" in Sterling. \nHere's a google maps link:https://goo.gl/maps/VrN4j5xJ8KZ1gTwu5\n \nDATES BASED ON WEATHERI'm planning another trip in about a week from this date.
