SUMMARY:White Water Rafting Campout
DESCRIPTION:Please join Troop 58 on a White Water Rafting Campout! \nThe troop will be returning to Ohiopyle\, PA and rafting the Youghiogheny River.  This year we will be camping at Scarlett Knob campground.   \nhttps://scarlettknobcampground.com \nOn Saturday afternoon ( 2PM) we will depart on a 7.5 mile white water rafting trip on the Lower Youghiogheny River.  Depending on the water levels\, the trip will take approximately 3 hours and include Class II-IV rapids.  The raft outfitter company will provide a guide with each raft.  https://www.wilderness-voyageurs.com. \n For scouts who do not want to raft\, there will be a hiking activity on Saturday afternoon.  Please identify in the RSVP Notes if you want to hike instead of raft otherwise it will be assumed that all attendees will be rafting. \nDeparture will be 5:30 PM from Trailside MS.   \nScouts and adults must RSVP for this trip by Tuesday\, May 3 so that we can provide a final headcount to the raft company.  Cost will be $116 for rafters and $29 for non-rafters.   \nIn addition to the BSA Permission Form\, all rafters must complete the rafting company online waiver below prior to Trailside departure.  \nhttps://wvonline.adventureres.com/waivers/locationId/6?_ga=2.228369053.1622489090.1652202116-1124926390.1649191372#no-back-button \n \nIf you have any questions or concerns about this campout\, please do not hesitate to reach out to the scout lead – Thomas Wall – or the adult lead – Mr. Miller (miller.eric@verizon.net or cell 703-283-3334)
