DESCRIPTION:Hi Philmont 2021 Crew! \nFor our 2nd scheduled training hike\, we will be hiking Loudoun Heights to Split Rock. (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/west-virginia/loudoun-heights-trail-to-split-rock) \nWe will meet at Trailside Middle School at 7:00am and head to the trail at 7:15am.   \nIt will take about 45 minutes to reach the trailhead and the hike will be a moderate 6 mile out and back\, with an elevation gain of about 1\,482 feet.   \nPlease bring a backpack and plan to carry about 25% of what your fully loaded pack would weigh.  (If you weight 100 pounds\, a fully loaded pack should be a max of 30% of your body weight\, or 30 pounds.  25% would be about 7.5 pounds.).  \nPlease bring snacks\, water and a bag lunch to eat on the trail.  We should return to Trailside Middle School by 2:00pm. \nIf you have any questions\, please feel free to reach out to me at eanderson@tollbrothers.com..
