DESCRIPTION:Scouts\, We finally made it to the fall harvest season! For our final class I want each of you to prepare a 3-4 minute presentation utilizing slides\, photos and/or other materials to summarize your overall gardening merit badge experience. Here are some of the key areas specific to the various merit badge requirements that should be included in your presentation: \n1. Garden project:  \nWhat did you decide to grow and why? (requirement #2) \nWhat challenges did you have and how did you overcome them (requirement #1B & #7) \nWhat would you have done differently? Explain (#2 observations) \nHow did you and your family benefit from the garden? \nWould you garden in the future? Why or why not? (No right answer here…) \n2. Special project: (Requirement #8) \nWhat project did you select and why? \nWhat changes did you make during the observation period? Why? \nWhat was your biggest challenge?  \nWhat lessons did you learn at the end of the 90 day observation period? \nOther requirements: \n1. Be on time! If you are not early you are LATE! Very important especially during your fellow scout's presentations \n2. Wear your Class B uniform with video turned "on" during your presentation \n3. Be an "active" participate and ask questions of others presentations \n4. DESCRIPTION:All parents\, adult leaders and merit badge counselors are welcome to come to the monthly Committee Meeting. \nMonthly Troop 58 Committee Meeting \nCommittee meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the same time as the PLC Meeting. \nAn agenda will be available the day before the meeting. \nIf you would like to be a Committee Member or have items you would like on the agenda\, please contact Lisa Levine. \n———— \nRoles of the troop committee: \n\nsupports the Scoutmaster in delivering a quality troop program. Members ensure quality adult leadership is recruited and trained. \nhandles troop administration and is responsible for finances\, adequate funding\, and disbursements in line with the approved budget. \nobtains\, maintains\, and properly cares for troop property. \nensures the troop has an outdoor program with a minimum of 10 days and nights of camping per year.\nserve on boards of review and plan and conduct courts of honor. \nsupport the Scoutmaster in working with individual boys and handling problems that may affect the overall troop program. \nprovides for the special needs and assistance some boys may require and helps with the Friends of Scouting campaign. \nhandles charter renewal and advancement and ensures adults are current with Youth Protection training.
