DESCRIPTION:Hello Goose Creek! Wednesday (5/13) night at 7:30 PM is the May edition of the Goose Creek District (GCD) Roundtable. Of course we will be sitting around a virtual round table again for a combined session with the Packs\, Troops and Crews. We are anticipating a large crowd so we procured a really big table with plenty of elbow room. \n\nWe have two very special topics: \n\n\nMany Scouters render service of an outstanding nature at the district level\, but only a few are chosen to receive the District Award of Merit. We will be presenting the award to this years recipients at the first ever virtual district awards ceremony. It will be a quick ceremony. \nOur featured presentation is focused on Old Glory and duty to country. We will be joined by Bruce and Brian Biggs to discuss a new initiative that gives Goose Creek Units the tools\, and flags\, to successfully conduct their own flag retirement ceremonies. The idea is based off an eagle project that created "Flag Retirement Boxes". These boxes currently reside in several Ashburn HOA community centers where people can drop off their un-serviceable American Flags for retirement.\n\n\nAs usual the meeting will take place at 7:30 PM and will occur on Zoom. The meeting will require a password per scouting best practices. When logging in  please enter your first and last name and unit number (e.g. Rob Painter T1907 or Bob Kellogg P1162). We will use the information for our virtual sign-in sheet which then allows us to determine unit attendance for the year.\nHere is the Zoom information:    \nA.
